On this, is'nt this a REAL attack on freedom and America? the president being allowed to murder any citizen?

But still nope, thats not the problem, the wealthy having to pay for the poverty and other messes they cause thats the real attack on freedom. Hypocrites.

Not to use a Christian term, but you're preaching to the choir here. It's all bullshit, but the fact of the matter is that many radical Muslims want to destabilize the American economy so as to reduce their ability to influence the Middle East (Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc). This constitutes a direct war on the economic bourgeoisie, so of course they wouldn't mind if a bunch of Arabs (or whatever OMG) were killed in place of losing a couple billion dollars. A lot of people in the first world share this sentiment- defending America/Israel's interests and what have you.

:confused:

Of coarse I'm preaching to the choir, but its good info for when your talking to others, also this is the OI, there are libertarians here.

Ugh... I'm on a crappy laptop and my sound is dead when I run XP (but curiously works when I run Linux).

But yes, libertarian here... I think the "Tea Party" is just the two-party system's response to all of the unhappiness and criticism. They just formed their own extra branch to attract the unhappy and extreme people, and keep them from deviating from the two-party oligarchy. If the "Tea Party" gets a few seats, it's still safely in Republican and Democrat hands, and the binary system is safe. Also having the added benefit that they can make America look more democratic while not actually giving real opposition a chance.

I would NOT be surprised if Sarah Palin actually wins on the "Tea Party" ticket for the presidency (even though I'd vomit). I think they actually want it to happen, because they can "make history" again, lol, and make this look like the government is soooo "awesome" all over again. :laugh:

And for the latest--NO LABELS!

NEW YORK – At the rollout for No Labels at Columbia University on Monday, one of the group's founders called the event "our little Woodstock of democracy." But the well- organized event, with its national media coverage, roster of top political names like New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh, and media heavyweights like David Gergen and Joe Scarborough, felt like anything but Woodstock.
No Labels may be a protest movement of sorts (if you are the tea party or MoveOn.org or even the Republican or Democratic parties) but it's not exactly a radical idea the group is pushing.
If recent polls are correct, the message No Labels is espousing is exactly what a majority of Americans, who are fed up with both parties, say they want from their government.

And having 18 Billion dollars Bloomburg is a true 700lb gorilla that can do anything he wants. These people seem to be in the middle of the spectrum.

So we have the far right with their splinter group, the middle with their splinter group--maybe it's about ime for the Progressives to try something?

They do. It doesn't get covered, other than a passing glance.
You know.. "the revolution will not be televised" and all that :thumbup1:

@Bud I suggest the Beer Party. :D

Seriously, does anyone care about the Tea Party really or are they just one of those vociferous minorities that usually get a lot of airtime? Small lobby groups can often seem bigger than they are because they shout loudest... a bit like Maoists... LOL!!! :lol:

Well the COULD do something to change the system if they wanted--but they are neatly controlled by the same forces that run the Republican Party so I don't see them as doing anything uch at all. For the most part they are just a way for people to blow off steam and still keep the status quo.

No one is going to allow any of those people think outside the box.
