ANYWAY.
Anyone put up their Christmans tree yet? We bought it yesterday, and we've been putting the decorations on--it looks pretty good. We have the big tree in the Living roon and we have a small one in middle of the entrance foyer. We have a "Christmas village" that we put on the closed lid of the piano. We also do the dining room table in all sorts of Christmas things we're gotten over the years. So we won't eat on it till Christmas Day. We have the Advent Wreath on the Kitchen table and we take turns lighting it and saying the apropriate prayers.
We also have two Nativity scenes. We have a hand carved olive wood one (that we bought from a Palestinian!) in Israel and the sideboard in the dining room. We also have a more topical and colorful one on the coffee table in the family room. We do the usual stocking decorations on the fireplace.
So what kind of decorations do you guys put up?

I just watched a dog get hit by a car and slowly die in the middle of the street while pawing gently at the air. There was a pool of fluid on the yellow line farthest from my lane and there were two men standing over the animal talking with their hands. The dog was black and lean with a long snout which means it could have been a whippet mix. Someone picked the dying animal up and carried it over to the side of the road and set it softly in the grass. There are no street lights on this road and its body vanished except for a portion of its torso that stopped rising.

Instead of picking it up and putting it on the grass which probably caused it immense pain they should have just snapped it's neck or hit it over the head with a brick or as you're in the US pulled out their tech-9 and put a few rounds in it. That would have been much more humane.

On the other hand, maybe you could get up on Christmas morning and make some good dishes yourself. You could just tell your mom you felt like cooking. If you're only 17 and can't just go buy a turkey, I apologize for belittling the situation. But then again you'll presumably have your own place soon and can put up a tree and have friends over. I made that point before and I made it the same way I did tonight.
But this one you dragged on forever posting links to flickr accounts with pictures of blurry vultures with no proof that those pictures were taken in Florida. On that point--I was using a FIGURE OF SPEECH. It's called a hyperbole. From Wiki:
Hyperbole (pronounced /haɪˈpɜrbəliː/ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:IPA_for_English) hye-PUR-bə-lee (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Pronunciation_respelling_key)[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperbole#cite_note-0); from ancient Greek (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_Greek) ὑπερβολή 'exaggeration') is the use of exaggeration (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exaggeration) as a rhetorical device (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhetorical_device) or figure of speech (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Figure_of_speech). It may be used to evoke strong feelings or to create a strong impression, but is not meant to be taken literally.
Hyperboles are exaggerations to create emphasis or effect. As a literary device (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Literary_device), hyperbole is often used in poetry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poetry), and is frequently encountered in casual speech. An example of hyperbole is: "The bag weighed a ton".[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperbole#cite_note-1) Hyperbole helps to make the point that the bag was very heavy although it is not probable that it would actually weigh a ton. Now since you are as you mentioned a college drop out you might have never heard of such a thing. No it is a point of contention. You accused mt of something that isn't true and you need to prove you are right. So do it. You are the liar there--unlessw you can prove I'm wrong. I made that point before and I made it the same way I did tonight.
On that point--I was using a FIGURE OF SPEECH. It's called a hyperbole. From Wiki:
Now since you are as you mentioned a college drop out you might have never heard of such a thing. Well as you can see it exists--so let this be a free college lesson to you with hopes you will return to school and learn a lot more thing you don;t have a clue about. :)

The shit is going down over this one. Fini has ruined his political career in my opinion and he's also allowed Di Pietro and the political enemies to do great damage to the government of which he was technically a part- I think this was a "putsch" for power that backfired.

Well, this is pretty much blatant drum & bass, but its good nonetheless
and its a shame you dont have more. im really into breakbeat atm. especially 90s breakbeat
im also being drawn to that 90s techno, before the synth broke loose, the more minimalist strain.

Except it's Canadian and may even have originated in late-medieval Flanders. The NHL was founded in Canada in 1917.

Fail. You did not say North American, you said American. It's a Canadian sport in modern terms and therefore applying the word American is vastly inappropriate- it would also probably get you beaten up in Winnipeg.

People say that, Comrade, because the style of pizza we eat in America is about as far from real pizza as you can get (and as much as I love american pizza, I have to say, that is a bad thing). So they probably heard "actually pizza in Italy is far different, ours is closer to sicillian" and interpreted it as "pizza is american, italian pizza is something else (kind of how football is football to us, yet football is soccer).

Canada is not in America, it is in North America- think about the difference, you could also say Canada is part of the Americas. For goodness sake, learn your own language and try to use it properly.
My cousins in Montreal describe themselves as "Canadian" which I think most other Canadians would do, they would also describe things from Canada as "Canadian" and not American.
If you say "American" and do not specify "North" then there is no enthymemic rationale to assume that you do not mean the USA.
It is Columbus stole it from the native Americans who also lived in Canada
Columbus did not steal it from the Native Americans- he did not probably even know Canada existed. Try to avoid silly slogans and hyperbole.
