If they think they're going to scare a new generation of angry students, then they will literally experience hell.

I guess they just want to cause even more of a media fury over their activities. Oh well, more fun for antifas.

According to this article, they plan only to stand between 'Islamic militants' and soldiers at homecoming parades. This is probably going to be an unpopular view but isnt there something chauvinist in the idea that islamic groups cant stand up for themselves? I'm thinking this has the potential to turn very ugly for all concerned parties- What they are doing is trying to provoke their enemies into violence because they know the likes of antifa will take the bait and give them ammunition to print in the newspapers. Antifa and UAF shouldnt be fighting Al-Mahajiroun's battles for them, its a tough one, where do you stand in a battle waged between fascist groups? I can't see the BNP directly opposing leftist groups because we are not the flavour of the hour and they know whether they like it or not, the majority of politically prone students are left orientated and they need to garner the support of indigenous youth.

I'm always suspicious of the term "race riot" it implies that the riot is drawn along racial lines. This potentially puts the blame on one section of society usually an oppressed minority group, where as in many cases the reality is that these riots are drawn along class lines. For example Brixton '81 was called a race riot as there was a large proportion of poor black families living there, however there were a hell of a lot of white and asian youths out on the streets burning cars and colluding in other riotous behaviour. It was a working class youth revolt blamed on a minority group. Of course there has been riots based solely along racial lines but it always makes me suspicious when I hear the term.

Manic, I understand you entirely. When I referred to race riots, I meant riots that involved the NF marching through minority neighborhoods and the ensuing violence, like the Southall Riots (1979), Wood green (1977) and to some extent the Battle of Lewisham

I do agree with you to an extent, but I also think that there is a chance they could use standing between "Islamic militants" and soldiers as an excuse just to target muslims. I do think we need to be mindful of this, and if they are targeting anyone who they think looks like a muslim, I see no harm in standing against them in solidarity with those they're targeting. I do believe that people should fight their own battles, but if we don't show our solidarity then they will feel even more targeted.
