Haha, gran, very true.

I'm try to start the SLAYER off properly,

My vote goes to erowid, because it's an excellent resource and has definitely prevented plenty of overdoses/mistakes since it was created.

Also, Zombo.com, for an entirely different reason.

Yeah, erowid's pretty good.

I used to lurk around on Bluelight, but the people on that site are waaaaaaay too into drugs for my liking. Too many amateur chemists and hardcore drug addicts.

BlueLight's not to bad either.

The best forum has to go to Drugs-Forum it is probably the best forum for drug discussions but its forums are only readable for members and I was perma-banned.:(

Why were you permabanned?

Because i used my real age, though i was just suspended until my 18th birthday. But i got impatient and made a new e-mail address and a new account, 2 days later... permaban.

You could, you know, just reset your IP like someone who isn't a nub would do.

Another vote for Erowid. I credit it with sparking the fire that drove me to indulge in amateur psychonautics, and do so safely.

Drugs education for young people in the UK is lame at best and outright propaganda at worst - the lame stuff gets the facts (mostly) right but simply bleats "it's illegal" - as if that's going to stop an inquisitive teen! The propaganda shit will obsessively focus on stuff like the supposed mental health impact of cannabis, quoting favourable studies and/or selectively quoting less favourable ones.

And of course neither end of the spectrum addresses the rank hypocrisy of having cannabis, ecstasy, and LSD illegal while at the same time alcohol and tobacco (which are more harmful, not less) are widely available. The deleterious effects of the drug war have never been mentioned so far as I'm aware. There are many, many facts that young people are simply not made aware of because it puts drug prohibition in a logically untenable position that a five-year-old, let alone a thirteen-year-old, could see through easily.
