First off, are there any other South Africans on the board??

I took these pics at the march held in Pretoria outside the US consulate. I thought some of you may appreciate them. There is movement in SA and this is proof.
It was not just socialists/communists at this march, there were all sorts as it was an anti-war coalition event. The main idea was anti-US, but supported by many socialist and workers movements.

Youngsters who were there with their folks. They were in support for the Palestinians/Iraqis.

It was a fair crowd, it was estimated at about 2000.

After the specches the crowd moved into the street and marched up to the US consulate to hand over a memorandum.

I was in front of the cops with the the journalists. It was pretty intimidating and hectic. Great atmosphere though.

Here the cops are blocking the top of the street and allowing no one further. After ths a delegate from the consulate met at the gates with the leader of the march. They refused to accept the memorandum.
