Uhm... what the fuck?
Ahh sorry a little confusion on the title there.
"There is, however, an exemption. Senator Jon Tester, Democrat from Montana, has put forth an amendment that would allow farmers who make less than $500,000 a year"
Well upon even further research

Yes, dearest apologies about the unneeded sensationalism.

Ending it is a little bit of a sensationalist headline that's going around.
Yes, it's still bad legislation.
It basically puts unfair tax burdens on anyone who sells food they grow at farmers markets, among a few other things like putting up more regulations. It's misguided as most of the diseases comes from the large agricultural corporations and not the stuff you get at an organic foods market, and it certainly puts a heavy burden on anyone who sells goods like that, as they generally don't make off with too much to begin with.

At least the Tester amendment was put in. Still, I'd hate to think of life down here without farmer's markets.

This is your basic left wing tempest in a tea pot. Someone said it was horrible, and the echo chamber went wild without bother to fact check. Last time I read the legislation, it contained nothing of what was claimed about it.
Just liberal hysteria.

I'm actually glad this was passed through. These factory farms have been behind diseased riddled foods for a while. Though, this is because of the harsh & unsanitary conditions within factory farms.
