Hey I'll be attending college next year and I heard Warren Wilson College is very "far-left friendly." They require students to do 15 hours of work a week around the campus which i thought was pretty cool. I was wondering if anyone had any other info or advice about this college that they knew.
Thanks!

What I've heard about Warren Wilson makes it seem very hippy-friendly, which I wouldn't necessarily translate into far-left friendly. Students might be down with general radicalism, but having meaningful politics behind it would probably be a turn-off, if my experience with hippy-type people is any indication.

My suggestion is to worry more about academics, location, finances, etc. rather then demographics.
You'll find a social clique you fit in just about anywhere you go (you could even find some off-campus), and cliques you hate no matter where you go.
You'll know you've found a school for you when you are excited about the possibility to go there. If nothing does that for you, go to a local community college and get an associate's first then transfer; that'll buy you a couple years to make that final decision.
And don't freak out if things don't work out smoothly. I've attended 3 different colleges at 5 different campuses (money and location factors), but I got there in the end.

I see. Well i dont know how much you know about the student body but are they radical in the way that theyd be helpful in a revolution or are they more like "Kumbaya" or Primitive in their hippieness?

You would be best served by actually visiting the campus to determine this sort of thing. Walk around, spend the night, check out some classes, and do you best to size up the demographics of the school. Ask students what they do on weekends, where the parties are, etc...
You won't really know until you go there, and better to go there before you give them a bunch of money.
