I really really really love the cognitive dissonance going on in the comments section.

What's more interesting is that a very slight majority agrees with her and supports workers self management. At the very least its split evenly with
50.05% of all people firing themselves and 49.95 firing others. What's even better is that those 50.05 don't believe that the corporate hierarchy is necessary to run the company.

I'd give her even more kudos if she fired herself when the company was doing well.
It could very well have been her desicions that sent the company to the ground, in which case she SHOULD be fired (of coarse maybe its just the market), but no matter what most of the time the workers suffer.
But I still think she's a woman of good morals.

Well she's a Drama Queen, but besides that there isn't a small or medium business owner who hasn't taken a hit to keep his business afloat and keep his employees paid. When I was starting out there were times I took my wife's paycheck to the bank and deposited it in time so that it would cover payroll checks.
Starting and running a business is a lot more difficult than you Communists sometimes realize.

Well sh'e a Drama Queen
Or a good person that takes responsibility, rather than abusing her power, which is what lay offs are, abuse of power, punishing other people for something that chances are they did'nt cause.
but besides that there isn't a small or medium business owner who hasn't taken a hit to keep his business afloat and keep his employees paid.
Yes there is, depends what you mean by "medium" buisiness," I don't know how large her comapny was, or if it was on the stock market, but most bosses will definately lay off workers before taking a hit.

Very very very few companies are startups, and very very very few of those survive the first year, so what your talking about is an tiny part of the economy.

And if you fail you should be fired.

How difficult it is to run a business is irrelevant to us, though.

Exactly, its difficult to be King to, but if he ruins his kingdom, he should be fired too.

It is VERY revelant to the workers in the business, though.

Not really. Unless your talking about the workers here that now run the company.

It is easy to setup business in some 100k town. I able to clean people's houses with $500 worth of cleaning supplies, a car that my ex-step-father fixed it for me (he a mechanic), and spend $500 on advertisement about my cleaning service that I bullshit it up that I been doing it for 10 years when in fact this is my first time.
Ah....

Do you seriously believe they would leave the running of the company to a bunch of guys in the stockroom? They just have a bunch of other executives fill in the slots

Thats what democracy is for, you have democratically accountable managers. Thats the logical way of doing things.
