I highly doubt most of this is true but with the lack of real Marxist analysis out there and instead a hybrid of revision New Left Marxist-Populism and NWO conspiracy theories, taking the forefront for a lot of left wing parties, I am shocked that accusations of antisemitism are even floating about in Venezuela against Chavez.

What concerned me the most was his association with a right wing populist and former Peronist.

I would hate for Chavez to be harboring Caudillo dreams.

I would say that the hope resides at the base of the PSUV, but it seems like some of the graffiti supposedly being spraypainted on the walls of synagogues "allegedly" came from Marxist groups in Venezuela.

Two problems arise:

1.) Is Chavez harboring Caudillo dreams?

2.) Are there left wing Marxist groups out there that are less organized and less stringently Marxist that they rely on Bircher bullshit?

Commentary is a right wing/anti-communist "left" liberal rag, but I was less concerned with the charges and more with the sayings of certain political figures in the PSUV , the government pro-Chavez dissemination of the antisemitic literature, and Chavez being cozy with right wing Peronists.

That's a propaganda article through and through. I worry about "rising anti-semitism" in Venezuela as much as I worry about a Muslim invasion of europe.

It is no secret Chavez political background lay in populism, and to some extent he still is a populist. He's certainly rather ecletic politically, but I doubt Ceserole has any influence over present day bolivarianismo.
And certainly there are some strange political groups that claim to sympathize with chavismo, but eh, I fail to see their importance.

Good thing for Venezuela Analysis which countered the propaganda charges.

I was not really worried about that. Mostly about the alleged government supported men who threw NWO Jewish Banker conspiracies and that Chavez had right-populist friends in his circle. Well, we all know he is friends with the right wing populist Iranian leaders but I think that is mostly because of a lack of diplomatic allies.
