If you can't see it because you're restricted I'd still like to know why you came to such conclusions. I cited 4chan as a great example. I have other examples of forums with a large community turning into what I stated but I am not going to give you their names because I use or have used them. A few are popular that you would likely recognize and there are some that you would likely not recognize.

This isn't exactly the type of thing that's covered on national news broadcasts (although 4chan was if I remember correctly) and it is as you said- not very important- because everybody knows that sexism, homophobia, racism, trolling and everything else is rampant on the internet- especially where people congregate to socialize.

This is also the type of thing that you can lookup yourself to prove that I am wrong- that way I don't have to give links to forums that I use. A dude might be in his own little world listening to music, a girl with more flashy clothes/make-up/etc comes up, and his attention is dragged visually. Same the other way around.

I definitely think you could be on to something. Although, around here the 'tightness' of clothes seems to be only in jeans, leggins and such, while shirts, tops etc are more loose. I mean, really _loose_. Some of them are huge. Dresses still seem to look more like tents than anything that would even in the slightest enhance someone's looks.

I guess that could also be with the different areas, fashion in Finland isn't the same as in other countries, so I can't really say anything general.

The thing about make up I've noticed, is that for some reason, people don't seem to notice how much _less_ attractive they look after applaying half an inch of spackle. I mean, I have nothing against make up, but too much is just too much.

I like rugby too, it's more sportive than football, but it's still a minority sport here and very new- Italy are better but they still take a lot of beatings. I don't know about gaelic football.... is that like volleyball with a football on a rugby field and you have to bounce the ball when you run? I think I might have seen it once. I don't really watch (or in the case of gaelic, understand) those games. Just trying to think of non "soccer" games.

I wasn't paying attention, I was thinking about Italian football, not Gli Azzurri. But they will rise again damn you!!! I don't understand why England are so unsuccessful- they also have some bad luck too, but the current team is not good. I don't like Rooney, I don't like Terry and I don't like Cole and you have no goalkeeper. I think there are just too many foreign players in the EPL in the top positions and it's not like a lot of English players are playing abroad- not like in the 80s and 90s. Where is the English talent to challenge the foreign players? You also seem to like Italian managers at the moment too.... :lol: The best manager at the moment is Alex Ferguson I think- he's been the most successful manager for the last 20 years- but I don't think a Scottish man would manage England somehow. I'm not sure I share all of your analysis. I, for example, think Rooney, Terry and Cole are quite good players it's just that the England squad has no idea how to act as, well, a squad. They have the same problems that Man City has been facing; a lot of raw talent out on the field, obviously and no actual coherence. I am optimistic though about the youth programs supported by premiership clubs for our talent later down the line. That's years off, for now I think none of our series of managers has helped and the constant cutting up and swapping around of the squad really doesn't help with the coherence issues I mentioned.

A lot of England fans and the press seem to do this before the competitions. You need an English manager and a young team. I say English manager not out of nationalism, but a manager who knows the teams and the players and has played in the EPL too, an ex player. We do all the chest beating crap because that's just how English people behave. We never learn. I would agree with you on the manager question - although no names come to mind.

I think sometimes they just try extra hard because they're afraid Redknapp will have a fucking anyeurism or something in the sidelines.
