Ban yourself from the computer.
Can't do it. Work I need to do is on computer. Thanks though.

I wonder too. It's not even the PC...if there's no PC I just randomly lie in bed or wander around town or eat or listen to music or...you name it.

:'(

What to do?

No easy way. Just discipline. Catch yourself drifting, make yourself go back and read what you were supposed to read. Make yourself write what you were supposed to write.

Sucks. I remember when it used to be easy for me.......

Oh, well, there's always Google.

#5 is a problem for me, although I've heard this before. I get very frustrated with doing work/studying when I only have 30min before I have to be somewhere or whatever. I feel as if I'm always looking at the clock because if I totally focus on the work, I will lose track of time and miss my appointment.

But making a list really works. I do that already. I don't always get everything done on my list. I find though, that this doesn't help with procrastination, so much as organization.

Estimating time is a good idea. It's always better to overestimate the amount of time it will take to get shit done. This way I get a sense that I'm not so much procrastinating, rather I am just using my free time now instead of later. Careful, though, last minute work tends to look like last minute work.

Bribe myself? Well, that's the issue, isn't it. If I could keep myself from doing A, unless I can finish B, then I would. Instead, I just do A, regardless of B.

The either/or thing sounds like a good idea, and it's the first time I've heard of this, although I often find myself doing stuff that I said I was going to do later, just to avoid doing other stuff I said I was going to do earlier. Slight problem, somethings are higher priority, and you may end up doing low priority work to avoid the high priority stuff.

I dont know, i tend to do this too some times, though i never failed a deadline(one i wanted to, cause i missed lots i didnt care :p). Its harder with things i dont really enjoy. For example with subjects i find myself be interested to, i can start doing them really early with no delays, but shit seem boring etc i always seem to push them until last minute, were i am forced to concentrate 100% to finish it.
So my "advice" would be, try make anything interesting for you, give yourself some motivation.Who knows, the simplest things might work. ;)
