Does anyone here posess an anlysis of the actions of the surpeme court from a Marxian/Historical Materialist perspective. Such a question is related to an assingment I have been given, and is also intresting given the more or less de jure independance of the supreme court from the goverment and society at large, and so what motives or influences its decisions. Is it really independant, are its decrees important or are they basically worthless and can be avoided by the Federal Goverment/the states?

Thanks

You are unlikely to find specific Marxist interpretations of the Supreme Court with the level of detail you evidently need. I would instead recommend A People's History of the Supreme Court by Peter Irons and The Nine by Jeffrey Toobin.
