Nothing about the New Zealand mine disaster?

Almost 30 people died in a recent explosion in a NZ mine. It's been all over the radio news here...surprised it hasn't been mentioned.

It's really fucking tragic. They had flags flying at half mast here yesterday.

I really feel for the family of the 17 year old kid. It was his birthday the day before the accident and it was his first day at work in the mine. All the deaths are equally tragic but I especially relate to this kid.

It wasn't supposed to be his first day at work either, his boss let him in one day earlier because he was so eager to start. :(
