I've recently been playing some Dip online. I was acquainted with the game a few years ago, when a bunch of people on Soviet Empire started a (forum-based) game. We tried two games, but both of them ended before 1902 had even ended because people quickly lost interest. I did not do anything with it after that.

A while ago, some people at my student union came up with the idea of playing a face-to-face game, which we are definitely going to do. So to refresh my knowledge of the game a bit, I registered here (http://www.playdiplomacy.com/) and am enjoying a game at the moment.

Is anyone interested in playing a Revleft game sometime?

Why register on a new site?

That sounds interesting, but there is a thread for it already. ;)

The reason for using the site is that it basically allows people to make moves very easily, with just a few mouse clicks. They are then automatically processed. People get an e-mail whenever a new phase begins. So we don't have to deal with having to look for one extra person to be game master, and hopefully people won't forget to fill in their orders.

So feel free to join. ;)

I've seen attempts at starting games on both Revleft (the one from the OP, which never took off) and Soviet-Empire, and neither one ever got enough people to join. If nobody else has joined by tomorrow, is it okay if I advertise this game on S-E?

Under what name, and what game did you join? I can only see these names:

The one in post #6 is no longer going to be played, I don't think. Join the game started by Bardo in post #7. I'll edit the other post so people won't get confused.

You're certainly not too late for that one. It's actually kind of difficult to get 7 people to join and to keep playing, so I hope we'll make it. What you need to do when you've registered is to click "Join game" and search for the number mentioned by Bardo.
