I tried this shit once cause a burnout friend in high school bought some since he was on probation and couldn't smoke pot. It didn't work at all for me. I find it strange that the DEA would ban that shit but not something like salvia which actually works.

Opposite for me, funnily enough. Salvia has never had much of an effect on (got low extractions, I guess), but Spice Gold made me feel very fucking strange the second time I tried it, and not at all in a good way.

I do think that banning "legal highs" is a step in the wrong direction though. It just means that people will end up using unsafe, untested substances to get high, instead of the stuff that's been researched.

That's already happend, since they banned Mephedrone in the UK the 'legal highs' market has been flooded with stimulants which the medium/long term effects are largely unknown.

What's weird about salvia in relation to me, I tried it the first time years ago, when I was probably 16, it did absolutely nothing, tried it again and tripped so hard I couldn't talk and thought my friend's car was a spaceship. I tried it again about 3 years ago, we bought some crazy powerful strength extract, like 80x or something (maybe it was like 45x? I dunno, 20 is supposed to be "enough"), and we all smoked, everybody with me tripped fucking balls, my girlfriend thought my one buddy was a cartoon pirate, he thought he was walking on water, somebody else was in a matress store...I didn't feel a goddamn thing, have tried it like 4 or 5 times since then, never gotten a thing and each time the people I'm with hallucinate like a mother fucker.:confused:

Salvia is said to be more of a spiritual type of drug that you do alone and is nothing like a party drug. First time I did it me and my friend could not stop laughing our asses off for no apparent reason. Just started laughing til I thought I was going to die from it.:laugh: second time was a bit more strange cause I saw dogs come out of my mouth and I started to bark because it made more dogs come out haha. After that, I decided to not really do it anymore.

I have this sort of scale on which I place various drugs based on the variance of their effects from person to person. Like, opiates are all the way on one side, because they do basically the same things to most people. Coke and amphetamines are a little further to the right, because they usually do one of two things: slow you down or speed you up. (I don't know why I have that left-right conception of it - nothing to do with politics.)

Weed is in the middle - some people get giggly and others get really quiet - and mushrooms are further to the right, in the "varies" direction.

Salvia, in my experience, is the farthest in that direction. The one time I tried it, I was in the city at night, but while I was on it I was laying on the beach at sunset, and could hear the tides and all that shit. It was almost literally a dream. Other people I know were not affected at all, like cmoney, and some people say it's basically like a two-minute acid trip for them.

I haven't tried DMT yet - where would you all place it on that scale?

I haven't tried it either, but even though the effect is supposedly very extreme (i.e. you trip balls for a period of time), I think that the effect is a relative constant amoung people who have tried it...in other words I don't think many people have smoked DMT crystals and just gone "Meh." (like I did when I smoked salvia).

I would move opiates because some people aren't effected by them at all, some get very itchy/nauseated(myself), and some people are allergic. If your talking on terms of experiences I guess I know what you mean, I think shrooms should be pretty far to the right because many people get similar visuals and are often confused and in the same psilocybin land.
