Whats wrong with Cherry Pie?

Also, Backstreet Boys, Bieber, N'sync etc.

A lot of mainstream rap as well.

Well in my personal opinion, it's the shittiest pop-metal song, and pop-metal is the shittiest genre.

I recall hearing Pour Some Sugar On Me on the radio and my brother commenting "this is the ultimate wanna be tough guy song". I lol'd.

"...Big girls don't cry-ay-ay..."

Most American Pop from the late 50s until the British Invasion. (The French had to teach American pop-culture what was good about American movies and the British had to teach the American pop-culture what was good about American rock and blues music.)

k85mRPqvMbE The original song is good but the start of Crazy Frog and this fucking mix getting played everywhere to the schools i went to was the most annoying thing i remember in a long time. :(

And Lady GaGa isn't that bad i just think alot of TODAYS(i have nothing against 70s, 80s, 90s-2001-or-2006s pop) is the same and repetitive, but i dont listen to that kind of music.

There's too many... some of the worst ones I've probably pushed to the back of my head. I can't even bring myself to search for some of my crap list on Youtube, the thought of listening to them makes me cringe.

If you're gonna stereotype an entire genre of music, at least do it better.

Anything by bands that try to be Blink-182. All Time Low, Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte, Jimmy Eat World, Kids in Glass Houses, McFly and worst of the lot New Found Glory!

They all have shit names to.

Blink themselves wheren't the best, a few good songs like "All the Small Things" and "What's My Age Again" but not much more. But then that's what the mainstreams about, a few singles.

I agree, Blink ripoffs suck. Blink-182 were alright, though (probably a minority opinion on here).

I've heard the name Justin Bieber fifty times in the last week or two, and I still have no idea who that is. Granted, that's because I haven't been interested enough to Google him.

I sort of liked their shit back then, but I never bought any of their albums. Particularly when the beat goes in to the verse "Give me something to break" I really think that's got some potential. But where I live, he just got so unpopular that the radio stopped playing them. Not really sure what led to that, perhaps that the "alternative" station was more interested in fresh new acts, although they still play stuff from the 90's all the time like Nirvana, Tool, RATM. And the rock stations just never played it because of the hip hop influences. So, seeing as I never had any of their albums, and that the radio no longer plays them, I just sort of stopped listening. In hindsight, though, I'd say it was a pretty shitty band, but it's not like all the music I listen to is Bach or Beethoven anyway. I thnk Durst just sort of rubbed people the wrong way and it kind of snow balled him into oblivion.

Consider that all of the guest artists on that video (The guy from Korn, Snoop, Dr. Dre) are either still putting out singles, or you can still hear their music on the radio (such as Korn). Even though the latter might be a regional thing.

Yeah I was mad young when they first came out so I thought they were the shit back in the day lol. Definitely average music though.

When I volunteered on a holiday camp a couple of years ago all the kids were fucking obsessed with a song called "That's not my name" or whatever by the Ting Tings (I think?) and I actually wish to brutally murder whoever wrote it.

When someone does a "popular" music, she sells it for millions of dollars around the world (No matter how stupid the song is). I think this relates to the definition of the bourgeoisie.

When somebody "does a "popular" music" they create music that brings pleasure to millions of working class people around the world, whether you like it or not. These singers only have their voices to sell, and often only recieve a tiny slice of the wealth they have created, the rest going to record label executives, managers, etc.

The millions of dollars in their bank account and humble mansions have come from the "tiny slice of the wealth they have created". And Yeah millions of working class people are foolish enough to give their hard earned money to see a guy singing how much he has money and and despised you for not having as much money as him.
Surely one of those responsible for the transformation of music into a commodity are the record label executives, managers, etc.

FUCK the bourgeoisie in music and art!
