Despite his pastoral and chrisitian leanings, he was influential in the civil rights movement obviously in conjunction with Malcolm X. I think this PBS documentary called " Citizen King " is worth watching. ENJOY !

King and X were opponents in the Freedom struggle. Many of us here would be closer to Malcolm ideologically -- Martin actually accomplished a lot more.

I don't think we can blame that on the individuals -- both were murdered for their beliefs and their bravery. Malcolm X was killed more than 3 years before Martin Luther King was.

Yesterday was the anniversary of Rosa Park's actions which started the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
