I wanna say I can sort of understand where these people come from, because such crimes really are fucking disgusting and lord knows if my newphew were sexually assaulted I'd probably want a bullet through the degenerate fucker's eyes as well.

That said, revenge is fucking poison for the soul, if such a thing exists. All it does is irrationally provide short-term emotional relief, but killing the son of a ***** would never fix what has already happened, and what of the long-term social ramifications? We already know as far as crime deterrence, the death penalty is practically useless, and it actually costs much more to put a guy on death row than life imprisonment, so it's also inefficient in terms of cost. All that's really left is a misguided and selfish sense of moralism and justice, wherein we allow our immediate feelings dictate social policy.

And even discounting the irrationality of all this, again, all it does is build contempt within an individual. Revenge does not heal wounds, it only encourages them to think that death solves problems.

I think what's more insane isn't the view itself, but that they decided to create a group for it, to literally advertise the fact that they wish for some people to be killed.

Of course, the underlying reason is probably some petty Revleft spat and an excessive need for self-justification.
