hi.
i'm cola, a vegan straight edge squatting anarchist bike punk, from Den Bosch, Brabant, The Netherlands.
i am not from holland. that is a different part of the netherlands.

uhm.. well.. what do i tell you. i breathe fire? i ride tall- and freakbikes? i have a mohawk? my eyes are blue? i live in a supermarket? i listen to hardcore, preferrably straight edge posicore? i also listen to breakcore, anarchist singersongwriter/riotfolk, some hiphop, bad nu-metal, and even worse nineties hits? i sleep with a teddybear?

WELL WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANNA KNOW?

Straight edge huh? Interesting, are you militant about it or just follow it and don't force it on others? Also, what kind of Anarchy are you into? Syndicalism, Communism, Christian? Also welcome Comrade! We can always use more Anarchists! :)

wow, that's a fast forum :D

as for sXe: well, i'm definitely not a militant, and to say i 'follow sXe' sounds weird to me. it's a label that applies to me since i choose not to use drugs. saying i follow it would imply me not doing that BECAUSE i call myself sXe..
an important part about it for me is the freedom to choose to use drugs or not, and the not being told i'm not a 'man' when i don't drink beer.

as for which flavor of anarchism: i might need some deepening of my ideals, since i don't really know. i mainly think we should have a non-hierarchial society based on solidarity, not individualism. being eco-friendly is an important part of it to me, but i wouldn't label myself as an eco-anarchist, cause i think a lot of people think 'primitivist' when they hear that, and i most definitely think technology and stuff is a usefull thing :P

definately not christian..

widerstand: when we meet in a bar or other nonsentical situation i will probably tell you big stories about the brabant liberation movement, selling limburg to germany or putting barbed wire around it (limburgians have no souls, and are the root of all evil), setting the rest of the netherlands under water, solidarity with friesland and twente, etc..

Ah I see, well that's is good you aren't militant about it, those are the ones I can't stand. I have nothing against an individual choosing to abstain but it is annoying when they press it on others.

And well you came to the right place to learn then. I suggest Kropotkin who was the lead figure in the Anarcho-Communist movement, pretty easy to read and he is brilliant imo.

Also reputation is based off of how many thanked posts you receive. It doesn't really mean anything.

question: where is 'reputation' based on?

It's, IMO, based on how sarcastic and witty you can make your post.

I guess... if you have a intelligent post you can get rep for that to. Sadly im not either of these people.

Welcome to RevLeft.

Make witty, sectarian comments. Your rep will either soar or be thrashed.

Yeah, sadly this is true. Sectarian comments tend to get you mad rep too.

Welcome, anyway :)

All my delicious rep points are from sectarian drivel. Rep system should be reformed... or just removed I think.

Also, welcome to the site! :)

I do this all the time being sober actually...

A nice introductory text to Anarchist Communism by the AFED can be found here (http://www.afed.org.uk/ace/afed_introduction_anarchist_communism.pdf).

Regarding Anarcho-Syndicalism these texts are pretty helpfull:

What is Anarcho-Syndicalism (http://libcom.org/library/what-anarcho-syndicalism) by SOLFED

Anarcho-Syndicalism (http://libcom.org/library/anarcho-syndicalism-rudolf-rocker) by Rudolf Rocker

Strategy & Struggle (http://libcom.org/library/strategy-struggle-anarcho-syndicalism-21st-century) by SOLFED

Obviously there are hundreds upon thousands of interesting texts to be found, personally I recommend the works of Anton Pannekoek (http://www.marxists.org/archive/pannekoe/) as well as those by Guy Debord (http://www.marxists.org/reference/archive/debord/society.htm).

While neither are anarchists, their strain of Communism ought to be very interesting to any Anarchist.

Regarding Anarchism, Communism and Animal issues i'd recommend 'Beasts of Burden' (www.insurgentdesire.org.uk/beast.htm) by Antagonism Press. While I don't agree with everything it's pretty spot on with regards to the nature of commodification and domestication.

who's talking about coca-cola?
cola is a carbonated beverage, with extracts of the cola nut giving it flavor. not a brand.

No, he is saying Cola as a beverage isn't limited to Coca-Cola, or Pepsi for that matter. Just like Hamburgers aren't limited to McDonalds.
