This sounds dumb, but whatever.
I'm interested in buying a socialist flag, or making my own. But I have no idea what to look for in terms of materials, what's the best to use? And flagpoles and etc?
Any information would be greatful, I'd appreciate websites which sell flags, because I'm far from artistic, and probably would make an abmonination...

How big and how will they be used? Also use google to find a place to buy flags, it's easier than asking us.

Nothing too big, and I have. Not found any sites, only those with just simply red flags. Which I'm thinking would be the easiest to use.

Word. I know a lot of people just paint on regular fabric for banners and flags etc. i used a pillow case to make a semi-functional anarchist flag.

If you want quite a decent-sized flag, I'd recommend the size being 5' x 3'. Very noticeable and quite handy.
In terms of attaching a flag with ringlets to a mobile stick, I usually get plastic ties (those thin plastic things which, once you thread through, are impossible to undo), align the flag according to the stick making sure the flag is fully stretched to avoid gathering, tying them together and then simply adjust it accordingly to make sure the flag doesn't have any slack. It makes more sense once you finish doing it. Not to mention the mad waving.
If you're after a stick, you can find a simple yet better one from any garden centre used to hold up medium-sized plants.
Buying one: eBay. You can find almost any flag you desire on eBay - well recommended.

I go to thrift stores and look for table clothes and bed sheets that are red or black, and just cut it into a rectangle. As far as sticks/poles go, hockey sticks are a good measurement to go off of. Other than, I got nothing.

I made a couple of small ones earlier by cutting up tshirts, with bamboo canes for poles. I would try going to a market to find decent fabric though, or maybe a department store.

Hey guys, I've already created my flag. Thanks for the help, I just went down to the local market they have, and got a good deal on fabrics, and a wooden pole :D I didn't buy from a major company, just a man and his stall ;) so no worries about funding the cappies.
