Wondered what people here made of this. Im a huge Chris Morris fan and wanted desperately to love it and for it to completely blow the whole discussion about "home grown terrorism" apart.
I was disappointed. It is, as the posters said, "Funny".... but I was disappointed with the lack of bite, or edge, or whatever. I also thought there was one too many cartoon idiot characters.
Some great one-liners, but it tried too hard to cram funny into every scene, rather than really saying anything about the situation. I thought Barry - the white-English muslim guy - should have been at the centre of the film, rather than Omar. BUT, having chosen Omar to be the centre of the film, i thought Morris should have spent more time on the family dynamic - a modern western family, accepting of that level of fanaticism. But it was barely touched on.
