We could use more nuclear energy, especially in developing areas. This would provide a much clearer alternatve to fossil fuels and also setup a green infrastructure. The main thing to remember however is not just the supply side of energy, but also the consumption. All talk of sustainable energy production is meaningless without mentioning a reduction of demand. People are too wasteful, thats got to change first.

Judging from the current predictions of global warming acceleration and mineral resources depletion, the nuclear (and thermonuclear, or fusion) energy harnessing is indispensable, and the risk of the use thereof is highly outweighed by the possible benefits, so yes, I'm in favour of it.

There's already a sticky on this subject, helpfully entitled "Nuclear Power". Perhaps looking at the forum before making a thread would be a good idea next time.
