That's the wildest thing I've heard in a long time. Leopard seals are really scary.

Yeah, that's a really good clip red cat

I'm hesitant to post some of the more brutal videos

I wouldn't post this ever and I am obviously opposed to it but there is a video on youtube right now (chechen supposedly) of a wolf fighting a pitbull. The pitbull is out muscling the wolf until the very end when the wolf grabs the pit by the muzzle and the fight's pretty much over. (as in the video ends I'm guessing because the pit didn't want anymore)

It's extremely hard to watch.

Also do a search (whoever's interested) for the Golden Eagles used as wolf hunters. That's also hard to watch. There are a few clips of the eagles taking rams right of the mountain face and flying with them. Big birds.

Re: Where's That Tiger: Those were rangers from a preserve in India. The tiger is a female who, if I remember correctly had moved out of the preserve area. The tiger did wound the ranger on the elephant, catching him on the hand and arms, severely cutting his hand to the point where I think he may have lost some fingers.

The elephant was pissed and took off after the tiger with the injured ranger on board. The elephant had to reigned in by the other riders in order to get the injured rider to medical attention.

I mean if you were an elephant and this tiger took a flying leap right over your head wouldn't you go after it?

As I remember, the story behind that was that the dude sprayed himself with female deer scent, the kind that's usually put on decoys. So that deer probably trotted over, excited by the possibility that he might be getting laid, only to be driven into a sexually frusterated frenzy. :cursing:

Definitely. there's more to elephants than most people give credit. In 55 BC, the Consul Pompey tried to have 20 of them killed in the Roman Colosseum as a reenactment of the war against Carthage but it quickly turned into a disaster. One became a crowd favorite for disarming gladiators with its trunk and swatting them away, still fighting after the tendons on its legs had been cut apart and it could no longer stand up. The other elephants tried to smash their way out and broke down the iron railing around the arena, causing an uproar in the audience. Help was brought in to subdue the elephants which according to Pliny "when they had lost all hope of escape tried to gain the compassion of the crowd by indescribable gestures of entreaty, deploring their fate with a sort of wailing, so much to the distress of the public that they forgot the general and his munificence carefully devised for their honor, and bursting into tears rose in a body and invoked curses on the head of Pompey."
