:-P Seems to be an hierarchical problem! :-P In my school I was about to interpret one of Brecht's poems. I learnt it. I prepared everything ,even my moves. :-P And here comes that asshole today, the sub-headmaster, telling me that the thing changed now and that only 3rd class fellas will read/interpret poems. It's about the 17 of November, when the students' insurrection became and Papadopoulos military tyranny ended. F**K! I hate this sub-headmaster. He is very sneaky. He has put me as the head pupil. After efforts, I managed to get sub-head pupil. And it's all arbitrary. He never asked me. You know, the head pupil is a ruffian. He checks who's in class and who's not and writes down names and shit! I'll fuck that guy! He knows I'm anarchist! He was telling me shit about honour and rights and responosilities of having the power in school and shit!

I don't see the problem with metaphorically using the term "rape" in some instances. I could say that the current system of world trade has raped the third world, I don't think that's objectionable.

I know the feeling, my boss is a first grade asshole much like your sub-headmaster sounds like. Not much one can do except trying to make the best of it. :(

As for this particular situation, if outright refusal isn't possible, you have two possibilities as I see it:

a) use your position to try and make the best of the situation. Ie, never use your power in a way the majority objects to, never give the headmaster any names except those of his own asskissers, etc

or if this isn't possible/preferable then

b) pretend to submit, but simply don't perform the tasks properly, in the end he has to realise that his tactic -- for this is all about good old divide et impera, divide and rule -- didn't work and that he must replace you

Yep. Well, I am a sub-head pupil, thus next time that the head pupil will be absent I won't write down anyone. Thus, they'll sent me the headmasters office and I'll both make propaganda in class and I'll also ask one more time to be released of this "responsibility". It also happened the 1st time the head pupil was absent and the teacher said beware, it's a right but it's a responsibility too, to be the head pupil. I said it's an enforcement.
Then, I went by myself down to the HM and I said I don't wanna do it. Then we discussed a bit. He said you aren't responosbile. It's the teacher that is responsible. And he said the teacher must check everything you just write down. I said, the teacher told me it's a res. And blah blah.
They are oportuinists, dealing with every student and teacher in a different way so that they have "good" communication with all and phenomenal peace. No way!
