They are not fascist but they have a lot of fascist members, and there entire ideology is racist, they claim to believe that Muslims are taking over the uk and are going to implement sharia law, they also hate unions.
There political activity consists of picking a town where there is a significant asian population, getting really drunk there and then attacking anyone dark skinned that they can find, as well as smashing up asian businesses, they some times show up at anti fascist meetings in an attempt to intimidate people.

Slodger, i think you already know the answer, you know what the official stance is from the people behind the edl. The edl is getting bigger and bigger so yes there will be people like those short-sighted idiots you encounterd. They will be drawn because of the bad press from the main stream media. That is the reason why it is so very important to show the press and the police that it issent the edl who is causing the troubles, but mostly counter demonstrators and idiots like the persons you encounters.

The idiots who attacked you were not the edl, they do not understand why the edl is against islam. They show the same behaviour as somebody who has been touched by the sekte of the moon. Fight to keep these guys out of the edl, try to put pressure on the press, so you will be able to explain that fighting islam as a system of hate and intolerance is not an extreme right issue, but and issue for the entire human race.

Whit the slowly fading believe of the christian god, who will condemn anyone who dousent live by his rules. Equality between people is more important then ever. Islam teaches an hirachie to its followers, the best way to fight islam is to explain to people why and how islam devides people between believers and unbelievers, hetero and gay, male and female, all whit a different place whit in that hirachie.

Any criminologist will be able to explain that a attacker always will have a disrepect for the needs and physical integrity of his victim, yust like islam teaches and those assholes who attacked you and you're friends.

Edl is as far as i see it, a giant step forward for humanity, the direction it is going to, is a good direction, dont judge because of the actions of a few mentally challenged people, but judge on the goal and actions it takes as a whole.

Groups and individuals in the United states historically have used this tactic, the most notable examples being Robert Williams and the BPP in Oakland. More recently it was used by ex-bpp members immediately post-katrina in new orleans. I know of many dedicated comrades who own and train with firearms as well as teach other comrades to do so.

Ive tried to numerous times, theyre a very twitchy bunch. A couple of months back, when an IRA splinter group threatened to attack mainland Britain again I went on there posting about the "catholic threat", and writing things like "Not all Catholics are terrorists, but most terrorists are Catholic". They banned me the next day.
