Is this to counter the bro-core thread?
Growing up in Northern California, Pansy Division was my introduction to queercore.
I don't know if this strictly fits the genre, but it's current:

hmm... I don't know how to post videos anymore. Edit: now I do!
Rumor has it that the singer from this band (and GravyTrain!!!) dated the bunny pictured in my avatar.

Limp Wrist is incredibly awesome. Pansy Division is terrible.
Queercore doesn't really mean anything other than gay bands, tbh. Pansy Division are one of the most popular queercore bands and they're not even remotely hardcore.

They're a good pop band imo, that's it.

When I first heard about this band I was all feeling warm, especially since they were advertised to me as a Screamo band. but...uh. Like most Screamo bands they don't live up to the awesomeness of their name :/

Meh, there are a lot of good pop bands but they're not one in my opinion.

Pansy Division are terrible -- I've walked out on one of their shows cuz it was sooooooper boring. Good intentions, but...
This is my favourite. A little old, but queer and punk as fuck: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ye6qklNclYs&feature=list_related&playnext=1&list=MLGxdCwVVULXd1nOwsJzTehCJlq10ihsZO
The Frogs were pretty cool as an indie noise thing -- not exactly hardcore.
Oh annd freaking Los Crudos!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eS7Cj_bL_pw&feature=related

They may not be queercore or whatever, but JD is about as big of a genderfucker as you can be, and they're a sweet band.

To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the queercore or riot grrrl distinctions either. For one, they tend to serve to categorize bands based on lyrical content rather than musical style. But, then again, I pretty much hate all genre classifications, so...

I'm sorry, Hunx, I assume his name is, has a dreadful voice. He's cute though.
