In the last few days israeli battle-planes flew over Lebanon, a clear violation of the sovereignty rules. In addition, a bomb was put in a car of one of the heads of the Hizbulla, and killed him. These were clearly provocations to make the Hizbulla act.

And it worked. One of the anti-airplanes missles that the Hizbulla launched killed a young boy. This is an excuse for the israeli regime to go out on a war, or atleast pre-war actions.

Why would the israeli want a war?
First, the social protest against goverment's economical policy is increasing. Sharon and Netanyhu would love to say "fellows, it's not the time for social protest, our country is at war!". The same about Sharon's corruptions, no one will notice them when Israel will be conquering South Lebanon.

Second, Bush really wants an excuse for a war against Syria, and the U$ is the greatest sponsore of Israel. Assad Junior can't, even if he wanted it, privatize the syrian public sector. So Bush wants to do it by force. And what is a better excuse to go out on a war, after the WMD one has lost it's magic, than "saving Israel from islamic terror".

So please note this: the next U$ war is probably going to be against Syria. All signs points to that.

hell, yes. didn't bush already pin them as the "axis of evil," as well as all of those other countries we are after?

after Syria is either the UAB or North Korea, people are rarin' to go after them. Which means that nuclear weapons will be dropped in the heartland and people will reelect bush out of fear of having more dropped on them. Of course, if Bush does hurt himself politically, then he will race to attack everywhere he can before he is thrown out

First of all, forgive my English, what's UAB?

Second, I don't think the next step will be DPRK. American troops are already in the middle east and there is lots of oil here. After conquering Syria and Lebanon he'll go for Iran or Libya.

Actually, I think all of the countries named above are targets for the aggressive Bush (except for maybe the UAB--I do not even know what that is). In addition to Syria, Iran, Libya, and North Korea, I would add Cuba, Venezuela, and Colombia in addition to a number of targets in Africa and anything else that pops up as long as he is in charge. I do not care to speculate on which order Bush will pursue these wars, but the media always seem to lead the way in villifying the next target. Currently, it seems that Iran is getting the worst press.

I see us occupying the United Arab Emirates, not the University of Alabama at Birmingham. My mistake, friends.

The proper way of writting it is UAE, not to sound patronizing of course.

I don't see an invasion of the UAE as being to likely, especially because the populace likes living there. I mean, sure they don't have a say in the government, but they don't pay ANY taxes either. Almost seems fair.

I think there might actually be semi-justifiable links to Al-Queda therein, though. and If Al-Queda even took a shit somewhere, you can look forward to bombs being dropped in the same location
