Just stumbled upon a great movie called "Metastaze" (english translation: Metastatic Cancer) I think many here would enjoy.
The story is about couple of mid aged guys who have no future to hope for. But the broad story actually shows what happened to countries after the fall of socialism in the 90's.
Movie is set in Croatia (ex Yugoslavia) and by portraying a couple of common stories exposes the rotten system in general.
People are desperate and shattered and in such conditions turn to alcohol, violence, drugs, nationalism and even fascism.
The movie is in Croatia language, but has the English subtitles.
