subversive tactics

What are they, how are they supposed to work, and have they ever worked?

As far as I'm aware they were popularized by the SI, the 68's student movement, and to some extent by German Autonome in the 80s and after. My basic understanding is that it's similar to tactics like adbusting?

All of them, I guess. Exactly what makes a tactic subversive, and what effect is that subversion supposed to have? I guess you might as well take my question as "1. what is subversion and 2. how does it translate into political tactics?"
