I'm a senior in high school so I have to write a senior paper. Well I decided my topic was going to be about the current austerity measures being proposed and implemented across Europe(And how the workers are reacting of course). What I'm really finding hard to find are sources backing up my view that the capitalists have been making bank from our governments, and that if we're broke the money needed could be found in the coffers of the rich. Does anybody have sources that show that type of info?
For example I can't find a source showing why pensions are just disappearing. I've seen various interviews where people explain how things like banks use public money to speculate and then lose the public's money, how huge transference's of wealth(AKA thievery) are going from public to private companies, how things like Social Security are being spent on other things besides social security. All I can find about the age for retirement being raised in France because these pensions are just empty is that it's the baby boomers fault and the workers fault(Obviously wrong of course).
