For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term it is a term used in UK courts of law to describe the ordinary person, the average person, the silent majority.
I am old enough to have seen revolutions come and go. I am fascinated by what drives people towards this or that ideal. I am amazed at how easy it is to persuade people that black is white and how easily they would give their lives to fight for the right to call black white. I have started to suspect that much of what we believe (believe in) is what we want to believe rather than what is the truth.
I joined here to try to find answers to one specific question nut know from experience that seeking the answer to one question usually raises others!
