my favorate part was when Obama tells Jon "Not to lump you in with other Pundits, but the notion that this healthcare was timid .... .... ..." And then Jon responds with "Not to lump you in with other Presidents."
I'm generally not a fan of Jon Stewart politically (I'm a huge fan of his comedy), but I think he did a good job.
Also if I had one thing to say to Obama, for gods sake, stop saying "folks" every damn sentance.
I would have loved Jon to be tougher, but I like when he brought up Larry Summers, and seeing Obamas nervous face.

Stewart's position is to 'not do anything at all'
Be killers and be against the killing at the same time!

Basically when I think of 'moderates' of his type I think of people that have an inferiority complex that manifests into a superiority complex because they don't want to make decisions. They want to be able to be racist and in opposition to racism- they want to appear to have a political agenda but don't want to actually put in the work involved in organizing or conventional politics- they want to appear 'correct' without actually having a stance based on the real world that operates around us.
Basically they're spoiled brats that want attention.
I'd rather attend a march with the 'Church Of Euthanasia' save the planet kill yourself than go to one of his hipster 'everything is an opinion there fore nothing matters' marches.
Neither of which will happen at any time.

I gotta agree with you, he moderate he suffers from Obama syndrome, his politics are kind of like "We'll he says its ok to rape children, he says no, so lets make a compromise, its ok to rape teenagers." Then during the interview he talks about how he thinks Obama is timid, yeah, because he's a "moderate" (corporatist).
But as a comedian I think he's great, and I get why he tries to stay a-political, even though really you can't without giving up some reasonableness.

Case in point was when he agreed with a guest that dropping the atomic bomb was a war crime, which is THE MOST OBVIOUS THING IN THE WORLD, then the next day appologised, why? Because he's afraid of having a standpoint that might be controversial, no matter how obvious and true the standpoint is.

It's perhaps not that honest but I understand why he does this and don't really judge him for that. His whole thing is based on him being the moderate, rational and reasonable guy and actually taking any 'radical' positions would harm this reputation. The kind of appreciation Stewart has at the moment is very fragile and only a few mistaken comments could just make people see him as just another crazed pinko Dem pundit. And even though Stewart is hardly a leftist, he seriously is one of the best out there in US media. Even if it means content keeps watered down, I'd like to see him still playing it safe with this kind of stuff. Needless provocation could bring him down really fast.

Yeah, I get it, its just irritating, his popularity is based on making fun of the absurtities of the system, not being a moderate, the right wing consideres him liberal anyway.

First of all another crazed pinko dem pundit? How many are there? Seriously there arn't that many.
Stewarts popularity is HUUUGGGGEEEE, he can be actually reasonable, meaninig not moderate, calling the a-bomb a crime is the most resonable thing in the world.

Calling the a-bomb a crime is not needless provocation, he's one of the best out there yeah, but I doubt being actually reasonable rather than unreasonable moderate, would do it better, people need to stop being afraid of .... lets face it, Fox News, Obama tried being moderate does the right wing like him now?
You know why the right wing does'nt attack him that much? He's too popular, and him being a comedian makes him hard to attack without being a dick, but they still try and write him off as a stoned slacker comedian, and not to be taken seriously.

Here's an interesting tidbit about Obama:
In the 18 months since Obama took office, private sector corporations' profits have climbed a whopping 62%, "faster ... than during any other 18-month period since the 1920s."
