Hello, my name is mick and i'm from the UK. I've been a leftist all my life. Particularly interested in theory and philosophy. I hope i can make friends on this forum and listen/discuss views. I'm very interested to learn from you all how society works/should work, and what is the nature of man.
I guess i've ivolved from a labour supporter to a communist, to a anarcho communist with an interest chomskyism. but beyond that hope i can give my own perspective to the table.
Also had a look at the zeitgeist movement, but became a little disolusioned with it.

Improvement :p
Zeitgeist, especially Addendum, makes some good points, but they're not strong on alternatives, especially in any collective sense.

I was in the north of Scotland last year, staying somehwere near Tain as I recollect. Great place, I was surprised to find some fabulous beaches on the northern coast, got as far as Tongue on one day trip.

Having spoken to my girlfriend she tells me we stayed in a cottage on the edge of a place called Fern - you've probably heard of it.
As it happens we were lucky enough to enjoy some sunny and warm whether, setting aside the wind, as you say. I love that whole 'edge of the world' feel you get in that kind of place (if you're a stranger anyway). I'd definately go back in the future. Previously I've only ever pottered around the south-west, i.e. between Dumfries and Portpatrick.
