Anyone dressing up? What as?
I can't think of a decent costume so if other people share their ideas, I might get some inspiration. For the past 2 years I dressed up as Lucy from Dracula (which most people didn't actually realise, so I actually just looked like a generic vampire haha), and I need a new costume.

When I was in New York I saw alot of ads for Jersey Shore costumes. If I celebrated Halloween I'd go as The Situation.

I'd enjoy if a drunken clown tripping on shrooms showed up at my door on Halloween.

I'm crap at costumes. Then again my approach to Hallowe'en is generally to go to bed early and hope they clean away all the decorations in the shops [sometimes being afraid of spiders is crippling]. The last thing I dressed up as was a bad influence, a costume that consisted of wearing my denim jacket and smoking cigarettes.
Obviously this makes my good ideas for costumes thin on the ground. I think you should go as the ultimate meaninglessness of an individual life, but I'm not entirely sure how one would even begin with that one.

I'll probably start as a Mexican Drug Cartel worker, and then end as a nudist after getting hammered off my ass and tearing all my clothes off. (It semi-happened last year.)

Lol wtf.

That is probably the worst costume other than coming in normal clothes and saying, "I came as myself!"
I was thinking along the lines of more fun than scary. Like a character from a TV show I used to be into when I was younger. I'm not sure though. I have two days to work out what I want to wear and make it though as I'm going to a party on Friday.

It's like one of those things you can only believe, when seen with your own eyes. You hear about it, but don't believe it until you actually see it.

That is probably the worst costume other than coming in normal clothes and saying, "I came as myself!" I don't really get around to making costumes so I always wear my own clothes. However I do often try to come up with slightly elaborate reasons for wearing my own clothes so at least I put in some effort.

I always spend ages on costumes. Outfits, make up, etc. Maybe I'm just kind of sad.
I can't wait until my son is old enough to be invited to fancy dress parties and I can help him make loads of awesome costumes

Last year I went as a butcher sewed myself a white apron, smeared fake blood all over it and made myself a big meataxe, which was surprisingly sturdy.
This year I'm still in the planning phase, I'm thinking of making a pumpkin helmet putting some lighting inside it it and wear a big ass poncho and go as a scarecrow. I'm looking for a better idea though as wearing a pumpkin helm for a whole party may be somewhat troublesome.
If anyone has any ideas I got plenty of sewing equipment and fabric to make it work.

Halloween is a perfect day to commit armed robberies (expropriations of capitalists, of course), since masks and face paint can disguise your identity without making you conspicuous.

That actually happened one time in my old neighborhood as a teen.(But it was Day of the Dead, instead of Halloween.) I don't think they had a political agenda, but they did rob the rich people of their money. And they did kill them, it was all over the news for a week in Mexico.

Either Triple Vampire Lenin, a guy with an ice pick taped to his head, or the guy who waits for the first tricker treaters to show, laughs at them and slams the door in their face and heads off to bed. I'll probably be the latter.

I think I might cut my hair into a fauxhawk and die my facial hair with shoe polish while wearing my 1950s Wille May's era NY Giants cap (I don't have a SF Giants cap). That would be a great Brian Wilson costume. FEAR THE BEARD!!!!!

I'm going to dress as the straw-man stereotype of a Marxist. I bought a costume beard, fake glasses, a pipe, a suit jacket and a black turtle-neck to wear under. I'll carry around a couple of volumes of "Capital" under my arm.
