Dear Colleagues,
Pakistan Winter is fast approaching and the humanitarian situation throughout Pakistan remains dire. More than 25 million people have been affected by the country’s worst-ever flooding. Some 2,100 people have died, 7,000 have been injured and more than 2.1 million homes have been damaged or destroyed.
We are not in a position to provide support to its affilaites in Pakistan , but agreed to launch an appeal to all friendly orgnisations to raise funds to assist our nation in their ongoing relief activities.
A special account will be used for this purpose. We will ensure that funds are sent to Pakistan without delay and that the names of the organisations which have made a contribution are passed on to our nation .
