Hello, Left Wingers.
I just registered my an account on RevLeft.org, and I do look forward to contributing my opinions and thoughts. But unlike fellow members here, I am not the most radical or revolutionary; in fact, I'm far from it. Nonetheless, do not mistake me for a person who is for the capitalist and exploitationist establishment. It's just that I have become a low key individual over the years. While I both strongly support and admire the working class and those in poverty, I just think it is better to avoid bloodshed. And no, I was not beaten down to accept such a relatively diplomatic viewpoint.
Also, I have to stress I am not a bookworm. Not only am I not familiar with all the Marxist and Communist publishings, I don't even read much of anything, other than comics which have beautiful illustrations and images. So while your knowledge about the masters of socialism and similar stuff is quite commendable, I'm not really interested in constantly having to read because I do get tired and sick easily.
P.S. While my ardor for progress and socialism is somewhat nonexistent on the surface, I do have a strong standing perspective, "Fascism must beaten down and hunted to extinction."

Maybe it takes a time for a thread to appear, but my original introduction still hasn't appeared as of this point when I'm typing to confirm if my original introduction succeeded in being a new thread.
But go Left Wingers!

Welcome :)
But unlike fellow members here, I am not the most radical or revolutionary; in fact, I'm far from it.
So, what are you then, politically? Still looking around or having a defined position?
While I both strongly support and admire the working class and those in poverty, I just think it is better to avoid bloodshed.
While I agree that we should avoid bloodshed when we can (in any war like situation it is the working class who bleeds after all, not the capitalists), I do think we should arm ourselves in a collective sense, for example in working class militia's, as the capitalists will use their weapons on us and for that reason we need to defend ourselves.

The first ten posts are moderated.
I'll merge these two threads into one.

Well, I do not support Left Wing Anarchism not because it is inherently bad, but because I think Anarchism clears away the last roadblock to outright Social Darwinism(a variation of capitalism). In such a sense, I see the appropriate Left Wing authority as needed to defend and protect the poor masses and sad individuals.:)
But on the opposite end, I am also opposed to Iron Fist Stalinist Rule, especially the Great Purges-NKVD variety. Such a situation completely stifles the creativity and dignity of man and then executes him. In fact such a situation justified the old Adam Smith style quip, "Capitalism is the exploitation of man by man. Socialism is the other way around."

What i wanted to stress is that I oppose Anarchism and Stalinism because I believe they are easily abused and manipulated and could end up sabotaging the entire Left Wing ideal.
Other forms of Left Wing ideology I think are better because somewhere in the system there might be a reserve of individuals who will make sure Left Wing ideals are justified and prove capable of leading a society to a glorious and prosperous future.
Also, I am opposed to the modern form of European Social Democrats. It seems they have become too parliamentarian. What I mean is that these supposedly enlightened and well educated deputies of the people bicker a lot and in the end, while the solutions are obvious, the pieces of legislation offered become ridiculous and impractical. For example, I think the German SDP has a lot to learn, but it was still much better in the 1930s when it at least opposed Hitler.

While I prefer a reduction in armaments for everyone, from missile forces to personal weapons, it is critical that the workers are properly armed and armored. Otherwise, we just lost a major element to defend and propagate Left Wing values and cultures.
But on a personal note, I am more of the subversion type, not exactly a politcal agent nor a military special ops person. Rather, I envision myself as a quiet, underestimated almost invisible person who could get a lot of work done with seemingly no active participation on behalf of Left Wing causes. In reality, all the masks and facades are effective ploys so I can slice capitalism secretly and discreetly.

i think you don't actualy know any thing about anarchism. Have you read the faq?
the old Adam Smith style quip, "Capitalism is the exploitation of man by man. Socialism is the other way around."
I've heard this before but as " in America man exploits man, in Russia it is the other way round" :)
