Welcome comrade. If you were born in the USSR then you will have such useful information on what life was like under socialism. As for myself, i have only dreamt of such a society. I know USSR wasn't perfect by any extent but they did have a go!

Oh cool. I look forward to you telling us some stories from the former USSR if you're old enough to have any living memories of it.

I never lived in the USSR, but in the eastern block- yes (Polish Peoples Republic). All I remember is that my mother was very happy when she managed to buy toilet paper (which was scarce) and I was walking proud with a belt of toilet paper hanging on my torso like ammo on Rambo. I was 2 or so... :P

I'm sorry for the late answer.
Chechen separatist movement is a far right nationalists movement.Due to it Chechnya is now the only mono-ethnic region in Russia:all non-Chechens are either expelled,or killed;slavery, abduction and blood feud were revived. In fact,it is a fascist movement, and if you are really leftist you cannot support them.

Despite the details, I think we all agree that the Chechen movement IS nationalist and religiously inspired. Not that I know the russian federation to be any better.
Welcome! If you live near St. Petersburg, perhaps we'll see when I occationally take part in the revolution day celebrations.
