Or was it ever? When did it stop? What constitutes a workers party?

Many of us havee jumped ship then come around and dutifully and often very passively support NDP candidates in elections. The federal NDP continually aspire to Blair/Clintonism. A few years ago I thought this tact was insane given the power of the Liberals. It seems less crazy now.

If you're talking about Canada's NDP, they have pretty much completely abandoned the term 'socialism'.

Better then the other two choices on the ballot, but still a terrible choice if we want anything to get done.

They aren't explicitly a worker's party, but they do fight for worker rights which is why a lot of folks in the oil sands vote NDP every time.
