1. E.H Carr's books on the Russian Revolution; Trotsky's History of the Russian Revolution; a book Moscow Workers and the 1917 Revolution by Koenker.. for starters.

2. Hmmh.... same books as above... and any studies of actual revolutionary struggles, like Pierre Broue's books on Germany an Spain.
