Man, that is surreal to say the least.

I don't think it's a totally unreasonable assessment of what the worse that can happen could be in the near future. I mean if you said in 1904 that in ten years the greatest war the world had ever seen would kick off over poxy little Serbia, you'd probably be laughed at.

Wonderful words, if you ask me. I'd gladly sign my name to every last one of them...if that wouldn't be so blatant plagiarism...

Hm. How would bombing Iran lead to a nuclear conflict?

Well...they'd surely retaliate...and if it's all done before they have nuclear arms, then maybe the Russians will lend a helping hand...and then really it's all about the snowball effect...

I really like the grandfatherly look he's got goin' on, what with the flannel and all.
I totally agree with what he's said, though.

Well you don't have to be an expert on international relations to know that neither China nor Russia will tolerate a set of US puppet states reaching all the way from Baghdad to Kabul.

Russia's increasing involvement in Afghanistan at present is indicative of this. Medvedev clearly wants to take the soft approach for the moment, i.e get a slice of the Afghan pie so that the US can't have all of it. The aid he's promised the Nato and US forces there thus far are probably a first step that'll let him get his foot in the door for his investors.

HOWEVER, there's all possibility that relations could go hot over Iran, considering all the imperialist power games going on in the region. I mean we've already seen China warming up to Pakistan, and it's not out of any honest benevolence the CPC has towards the Pakistani people.

China and Pakistan has always been strategically aligned, this is not a new development, it's mainly to counter India

Arguably more so recently though, what with America's war in Afghanistan spilling over the borders on a regular basis. Sales of nuclear reactors etc.

What can we do about this???? How can we save humanity?
