All I know by name is Beethovens 9th symphony. But basically I like the classical music they play on NPR at night. They never really bother to mention the name of the composser <_<

Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata
Beethoven - Fur Elise (of course)
Satie - Gymnopedie No 1
Pachelbel - Canon
Vaughan Williams - Fantasia On Greensleeves.mp3
and other pieces by Mozart and Wagner
Here are my favorite Opera pieces:
Bizet - L'amour est un oiseau rebelle (Carmen)
Carl Orff - Carmena Burana
Van den Budenmayer - Zbigniew Preisner "Concerto en mi mineur" <- Dark and I love it!
I'm sure there are a lot of other amazing pieces that I've never heard before. I'm looking forward to sampling other people's picks.

I epecialy like Chopin and Tchaikovski (sp?), don't know too many of their compositions by name, though. Beethoven is also excellent (of course). :)

I'm not a big classical music connoseur (sp?) but I enjoy most of the Chopin stuff that I've heard, and the 4 Seasons is good. The William Tell Overture is also good, I don't know much more.

Yeah, Chopin is good, but a little boring at times, you gotta be in the mood...

I like the piano stuff, so I'd say my favourite is Claire de Lune.
