Hey, I lead a GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) here and I've been looking for something (a video, a workshop, something) that will explain to people what exactly the concepts of Gender and Sexuality actually are, and how they can be different among different people.

Does anyone know of any movies or anything that I could use? I'm really not sure.

Thanks!

Try this one:

Foucault History of Sexuality (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=iv&v=o-JzKR1FwsQ&annotation_id=annotation_934530)

I'm not too familiar with Foucault though, I just think it's a funny video and song.

EDIT: Also, this website looks like it may have good stuff.

I'm more looking for something to actually explain that kids can be different sexuality- and gender-wise. A lot of the kids in my group are straight and don't really understand what sexuality and gender is. They just think gay or straight and boy or girl. We don't have any Transsexuals, so it's hard to explain to them.

Most people use transgendered, they don't mean the same thing.

browse through here (http://zinelibrary.info/english/queer-lgbti).

Really? I assumed they were synonyms. Could you explain, I know a lot about varying gender identities but I didn't know that.

And thanks a lot for the link, that's really helpful

Transexual is transgendered person who has undergone gender reassignment surgery, I think.
