Confused about the Russian left?

I am deeply confused about the left in Russia, are they left? i heard of the AKM youth group marching in unison with the national Bolsheviks and the CPRF described as conservative despite being a communist party? Can anyone clarify this confusion i am in?

Russia's electoral politics are stage-managed by the Kremlin. The main parties are basically satellites of the ruling United Russia party.

The KPRF's "conservatism" is a yearning for the "good old days." The oligarchs are actually called "liberals" because they distance themselves from the USSR's state ownership.
