In several countries, including the United $$$naKKKe$ of Amerikkka but also KKKanada and Japan, the term "football" denotes a highly safe version of rugby rather than kicking a basketball around.

And among real football, the professional league located withing the U$ and A, and this year through some strange arrangement part of KKKanada, commands the greatest attention.

So, what are all your prognostications? What do you think of Michael Vick's second benching? Or is this Favre's last year? And how about dem bears?

Post your latest reflections here.

Watching the Giants hold the Texans to 24 rushing yards today was pretty glorious.

Well they did, but they were really just owned by McNabb who has something to prove. It could have been anybody. Well maybe not Da Bears or the Vikings.

having all those injures didn't help, you could definitely see the difference between the first half and the second. their defense just wasn't there

Favre set a few milestones tonight - his 500th touchdown pass (next best is Marino's 421). And he also threw his 70,000th yard. That's almost 50 kms.

Irony is the way they're playing tonight they're not going to be able to win.

I wouldn't count them out totally. The Jets total failure in the red zone could come back to bite them in the ass.

EDIT: or not

well bcbm and the state of Wisconsin, I guess you got your wish. Packers played quite well, and minnesota played horribly.

Here come the Raiders, time to show that the Chiefs aren't for real.

edit: Steelers have too many injuries to stop the resurgent raiders. I hope.

Well, the Jets didn't poop all over themselves again yesterday, and hence didn't fuck up their playoff slot yet, so I'm happy. They've been doing good until two weeks ago when the pats beat them fucking 45-3 and then some doofus coach tripped a miami player the next week.

They're a good team, but the Jets have always been good at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Well Sanchez still has many years on him. I think if you give him time he can grow into it. But yeah he's not quite there yet.

Man, the bears are running over the Vikings right now. 4th quarter, six minutes to go, and it's 40-14.

Och eye I think brett favre is finally finished.not a moment too soon, IMO.

The Rams leading the division makes me giggle.
Don't get me wrong, the team has improved immensely, but a sub-500 team should not be a playoff contender.

So do you guys think he should be allowed to own a dog?I'll admit I find it difficult to see Michael Vick in any sort of positive light.

It's not that I don't feel people shouldn't get a second chance.

However, getting a second chance worth $1.6million, with an option for $5million is absurd; most people don't even get their first chance at that.

I feel it's also pertinent to point out that while the dog-fighting issue was the most serious, it is by no means the only questionable behavior Vick has engaged in (I'm willing to ignore the drug issues, but the guy stole watches when he was signed to a 10-year/$100million contract, and knowingly exposed women to genital herpes.) What the NFL implied was "we'll forgive you your sins if you're a star player."

As for owning a dog, I'd say no. He has proven to be an abusive pet owner, and unless some way he can prove that he is not, I wouldn't trust him with pets.

The guy's just been brought up to be a brat, because he has enough talent and earning potential that everybody puts up with it.

What the NFL implied was "we'll forgive you your sins if you're a star player."

Not really. The NFL gives second chances to players like Donte Stallworth, convicted of manslaughter, who have never been more than a #2 receiver at best. Currently a #4 for the Ravens. In fact, I recently read that something like 20% of the NFL's players have arrest records. The difference is, no one cares about most of those players because they're not in the lime light. No one cared about Vick last year when he was sitting on the bench, but now that he's having success everyone seems to be outraged at his existence and continually digging up more dirt. He exposed women to genital herpes? Honestly? lol. Let the man live his life ffs.

They've lived to fight another day. SF really was lost. I read somewhere that actually staying alive in december is all that matters. Which sounds about right to me.

Hmmm... hate to bump my own thread but wtf is wrong with Cam Newton? The supposed wonderkind and it's like 1-5 this year? Och aye. Still his first year, there is a lot that is not exactly his fault, but come on, the number one draft pick in a 1-5 record? What do you all think he should change?

PS Detroit fans sorry tough break. I think y'all are still the team to watch this season, can't wait 'til the thanksgiving day it will be oine of the most amazing games in a very long time!!
