I have been very interested in joining NEFAC for years now and I have been unable to get a hold of anyone about getting involved. So if anyone could help me to get in touch with the NYC branch of NEFAC I would appreciate it.

What are your motivations for getting involved with them specifically?

I am in favor of there aims And principles and they are the only anarchist communist and platformist organization in the U.S.

revolution inaction is correct, there are a number of regional / city based anarchist communist platformist (or at least anarkismo aligned) organisations in the USA. NEFAC would be the only one in New York though.

And yeah, go to anarchist black cat if you want to get in touch with NEFACers.

Well I'm a member of Providence NEFAC so you can just get in touch with me through PM and we can shoot the shit. We're the only anarchist communist org in the Northeast, yes, but not the country. WSA is a national class-struggle anarchist/libertarian socialist group that we have close relations with if you aren't on the east coast, there are others too, but we'll talk more privately.

NEFAC is kind of dying, I know people that are members in CT (CT doesn't have an official branch), they have have dual membership with the Workers' Solidarity Alliance with which their branch is "official".

Look into the WSA, you'll get just as much activity at 1/4th the price :D. I almost joined myself......but never got around to sending the dues and I lived 45 minutes away from the rest of the group with no car.

actually nefac is experience a moment of growth i'd say. just not in it's traditional hot spots of action. there are the beginnings of new local unions sprouting up in philly, pittsburgh, and providence. with moderate retention in areas that had other local unions. ct and western mass is a weird beast.

to the OP i sent you a PM with contact info for NEFAC NYC

Oh, I haven't seen much activity from NEFAC anywhere, to be honest. While new groups are started, it seems that most aren't too active, even the ones that have weekly meetings and such, thus I assumed they were still declining.

I briefly attended one of their convergences in Massachusetts, but that was like 4-5 years ago.
