There is entirely too much sugar in this iced tea that I bought from McDonalds. Seriously. There are brands of soda with less sweetness than this. It's practically undrinkable.

Solidarity with the workers of McDonalds who are forced to make terrible iced tea. Solidarity with the workers of the American South who actually like this stuff.

Tea shouldn't be 'iced'. You got what you deserved.

Isn't there a difference between iced tea and Iced Tea? The former being actual brewed tea that is iced and has a bit of lemon but not much sugar, and the latter being the umbrella term for corn-syrup laced beverages that only remotely taste like tea?

It's not ice tea you heathen! It's sweet tea. And McDolands is the only fast food place that does it anywhere near right. (unless you consider waffle house fast food)

By "McDonald's doing it right" do you mean Nestea?

Then Nestea does it nearly right. All I know is that Sweet tea is the only thing I actually like at Mcdonalds.

when i went to america a while ago, the iced tea at restaurants like mcdonalds was appallingly sweeter than the stuff we get in canada. maybe it's got something to do with regional/cultural tastes.

that being said, i'd much rather have a cup of coffee instead

some iced tea are sweeter than other, usually fountain stuff are stronger than bottle ones, except for the harizona brand, that shit have a lot of sugar in it.

Personally, i am a great fan of Lipton Iced tea.

I like my iced tea plain and simple: Strong black tea, lemon-wedge, and ice. Nothing more, nothing less. Add a grain of sugar and the tea is practically ruined and I could no longer call it tea. How anybody could possibly intentionally consume sweetened tea is beyond me. Tea is supposed to taste like tea with maybe a bit of citrus, but really adding sugar just turns it into a bad-taste disaster. Unsweetened iced tea has got to be the best drink you could find at any restaurant.

I use Lipton to when I brew my own tea. Sweet Tea can only be done right in certain places. The largest concentration of these places is by far Georgia.

There are two good things about the south: Sweet Tea and Southern Food (Fired Chicken, Cornbread, girts, Country gravy [the white gravy with sausage bits in it], etc..)

As for regular ice tea, I freakin love sun tea. And I am practically addicted to Arizona tea. (its not actually all that sweet, but still soooo good).

And oddly, despite by outward britishness, I'm not really all that into hot tea. Coffee is the only hot beverage for me.
