I do not like the faster IDM stuff EvilRedGuy posted when I'm tripping on shrooms/acid, seems to paranoid for me. But then again, when I'm on E or something the faster stuff is really great.

I like some psych garage punk and some old school California psychedelic rock and sensory-overload hip-hop DJs... but for actually tripping, it makes me feel sober to listen to rock and rave music that tries to be trippy. "Trippy" music is fine for pot, but when you are really tripping, the sound of the CD changing in the player or the air-conditioning turning on is going to blow your mind more than the craziest DJ or psych rock.

The best thing I ever tripped to was a bunch of Wu-Tang CDs that were on a 5 disc cd player. The RZA - so much texture and color to those first albums. The ODB album was playing at the most intense part... "Remember when we were kids and we used to go a-a-a-a-a-aaaaaaaaaaaaa-AAAAAAAAAAAAA-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Oh the second-best thing I listened to was Jefferson Airplane's "After Bathing at Baxters". My friend bought a used LP of the album and we didn't know it had a huge scratch on it and so when the songs started skipping around and looping we thought it was actually part of the album and it took us almost the entire side of the record to figure out that it was just a scratch causing the needle to skip. Also seeing Sonic Youth live in the 1990s while really fucked up was good.


It was the mid-90s man! It was a crazy time man. I wouldn't recommend it but it worked for me man!

I remember not being able to stand looking at images on a television screen because it was like looking at this tiny little box of flat colors moving around and everything seemed stiff and fake. I don't think it was just the content, I think it was something about the conveyance because I also went out and went to movies a couple of times and it was always an amazing, crazy experience to watch movies on a big-screen.

Mushrooms used to be legal in Holland till about a year ago. Now it's still legal to sell the equipment for growing them yourself, which is absurd. Just because it doesn't contain psylocybin means it's not illegal, so their still widely used here. But yeah, this thread isn't about tripping itself so lets not get to offtopic! :lol:

Oh I have used mushrooms myself numerous times and I'm totally pro-legalisation of every narcotic out there. Illigalizing doesn't do any good. I was just noting the absurdity of the law, and why mushrooms are still widely used in Holland. People can still grow them themselves, you can buy grow-sets in every city.
