IMPEACH CHENEY FIRST! I saw that on a bumpersticker, and it makes a good point. Not that we have to get Cheney first, but would should impeach the entire administration and not just George Dubya. Besides, the liberals are angry and calling for impeachment of distortion of evidence leading to the Iraq war. From several accounts, Cheney himself was pressuring the CIA to sex up their evidence.

We are 15 months till the "election" and with a conservative controled congress its highly doubtful that any impeachment will happen. Plus impeachment does not mean you leave office, remember Clinton was impeached and finished his last term.

Comrade truthaddict11,
Clinton was brought to an impeachment trial, but they did not follow through. He was not convicted. If an official is impeached and convicted, he or she is then immediately removed from power. Clinton was not, but I am saying Bush should be convicted.

If you impeach the president we'll just get a new president. We need to abolish the presidents. We need a revolution to throw Bush out, not the liberal strategy of impeachment.

The most interesting detail about the impeachment issue is that if one were to search "Impeach Bush" on www.google.com, they would notice that the results returned increase everyday.

I remember checking about a month ago and it was around 45-50,000. Now it's at 62,700.

is still highly doubtful that bush would be impeached. Morpheus, I agree we must abolish leadership no replace it with a lesser evil

I agree but I also agree that he should be conviceded. If the people would go through with it at least this would show Bush's fascist tactics are unacceptable, to some extent  Like I said on another thread, we need to kick out the whole administration and undo all actons possible commited by that bastard-president Bush

 What about Lincoln

Lincoln was a white supremacist. He opposed slavery, but still thought that blacks were inferior. Like the modern KKK. He also suspended many civil liberties during the civil war.

Comrade LightningCount,
President Lincoln started the Civil War to pull renegade states back into the Union. First of all, he himself never fought the slaveholders personally. He let the Union army do his fighting for him.

Second of all, he was a racist. On several instances, Lincoln spoke affirming the "inferiority" of African-Americans. He only let the Civil War become a crusade against slavery when he could not get soldiers in the North to fight to "preserve the Union."

There were several slaveholding states that remained loyal to the Union. These so-called "border states" were more important to Lincoln than ending slavery. His overrated "Emancipation Proclamation" DID NOT END SLAVERY IN BORDER STATES LOYAL TO THE UNION! Until the very end, Lincoln sought to compensate loyal slaveholders to get them to give up their slaves.
Again, Comrade Morpheus, refer back to my earlier post... IMPEACH CAPITALISM!!

Comrade Anunquietmind,
Your Google searches are not misleading. I sense a growing current of impeachment talks against our bastard president. Many of the liberal sites I am on the mailing lists for are calling for impeachment. If you have not signed up at VotetoImpeach.org (I think that is the site name, if not Google for it), please do so. It is interesting because I heard through another communist that my state's Republican Senator Chuck Hagel made a statement a couple of weeks ago that seemed to disassociate himself from Bush. While Hagel likes to play the part of maverick, he is nothing but a right-wing tool and a political whore. Perhaps he has sensed that Bush's scandals are going to undo himself, and Hagel is playing the part of the rat abandoning the sinking ship. You know there is trouble when Republicans start turning on one another.

not true...Bill Clinton was one of the best presidents since...in my opinion, JFK or even Abraham Lincoln..

You have to realize the president's role too, which is a huge one. America's the biggest power in the world, and a little slip-up by any president won't go unnoticed internationally...so you can imagine the pressure.

Not that i'm defending George W...because we all know he's no kind of leader whatsoever.

Michael Moore - I support you man, you have the guts to go in front of that crowd and speak the truth.

Rus-pects.

Clinton "great" like Kennedy and Lincoln were "great"? They all were capitalist presidents, and assholes at that . I dont think any one of them or any president for that matter is derserving of respect.

I dunno about that...capitalism isn't half bad, lol.

I'm not just saying this because I live in a capitalist society (toronto! whoo), but I mean, every President's capitalist, otherwise they wouldn't be elected into office...unless they just barg in (i.e. - Nazi Regime...blast them...).

I just think we shouldn't point the finger at all presidents for imperfections that we all possess. The more we point our fingers at others...the slower we realise, the finger's pointing back at ourselves...

The last thing we should do is pass judgment and stoop to a lower level to prove a point. I think its non-constructive argumentation to decipher all presidents as being bad people.

But that's just me. :)
