Yes, this thread should be dedicated to fictional supervillains. I am against the idea of lists, since supervillains belong to several different categories. I have identified a number of them.

1: Mad Scientist

2: Military Figure

3: Dark mage

4: Dark deity

5: Evil overlord

6: Trickster

7: Multi-millionaire type

8: Female

9: Angry anti-hero

10: The degenerated one

These are the ten different categories I could think of (some villains belong to different categories, for example Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty). Now, I would like the rest of you to try to think of all supervillains you could think of. Try to sort them into lists with your favourites first. For admit it, supervillains are generally sooo much more interesting than the heroes, since they seem to have personalities and ambitions, something which the heroes are devoid of.

magneto is hands down one of the most intresting.

i also realy like the angels in Spawn.

like any good super-hero their antagonist needs conflict and double sides too. Someone who is only evil is boring.
its why i rather speak of antagonists than villains

its what is great about most X-man antagonists and what is such an shame about for example the badman ones. While badman is an way more intresting character than superman or spiderman most oldschool batman vilains, except the joker, are not that intresting. while at the same time i hate fucking do-goody spiderman but his adversies (hobgoblin etc) are most of the time way more conflicted and have an good storyline of their own.

The Monarch, hands down. He has the right mix of evil genius and complete moron to make him an ideal supervillain.

Nyarlathotep. Mad scientist, insanity-inducing evil alien deity, cult leader, and servant of Azathoth the blind idiot god.

Also known as the Crawling Chaos. If you value your ability to sleep soundly, do not under any circumstances observe his experiments or watch his film!

Dr. Blowhole is probably the best development of the Blofeld character. How it could be possible to turn anything as cuddly and innocent as a dolphin into an evil overlord and mad scientist is beyond my imagination.

He has everything, megalomania, evil genius, an evil laughter, a segway, grudges against everyone and several complexes (though he likes it when Julien's touching his soft, moistly skin).

Also, he's somewhat smarter than the usual supervillain, usually standing and overseeing his torture machines because he's not that arrogant that he becomes stupid.

I saw this image for the first time in America: The Book when I was about 10 or 11. It scared the crap out of me then, and it looked extremely familiar, but I couldn't place it. It kept bugging me and bugging me for years. Then I was browsing through Blockbuster in 8th grade, and I saw it on the cover for The Seventh Seal and I almost had a heart attack.

Still, I'm not sure if this counts as a supervillain. Death is more of a natural force in that movie than a bad guy. He's not that malevolent really.
