Is Cuba not joining the SUCRE soon? Or is it to opt out against the other ALBA nations on this?

If Cuba is part of ALBA, would it not also be to their benefit to joint UNASUR?

It's clear to me that the days of Cuba's relative isolationism have been long overdue in their end. Cuba's main export destinations are China, Netherlands, Canada and Spain. Their main import products are food, fuel and clothing. Does it not make sense for Cuba to try and integrate itself further into the bolivarian movement by joining the SUCRE with ALBA and ridding itself of this ridiculously un-economic double currency, and to then join UNASUR (i'm fairly sure it's not a member..!).

From joining UNASUR, they'll be able to benefit from BancoSur funding and the security of a common UNASUR defence policy.

I understand that UNASUR is meant to be South American countries, but consider that one of the participating bodies, the Andean Community of Nations, had Panama and Mexico as observer members.

Am I being unrealistic here, or this a route that is entirely valid and would certainly be able to help Cuba's well documented economic problems?

Cuba needs to ensure its transport.

Such a small country can be great for its peoples
social endeavor if its transport system continues with success.
